Browns-Bengals FanDuel Week 16 prop bets: Bet on DTR to throw a touchdown

The Cleveland Browns are on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16 of the 2024 NFL season this Sunday, December 22, at 1:00 pm ET. The Browns are 9.5-point underdogs against the Bengals, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Here are my favorite player prop bets from the Browns' perspective in Week 16.

The Bengals' defense is among the worst in the NFL. Cleveland should get traction moving the ball, and I like QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson to score via the air at least once. The odds aren't as good as you'd usually see, but it's still worth taking the -250, and perhaps parlaying them with another passing bet.

Joe Burrow has thrown 36 touchdowns to just 8 interceptions this year, but the picks have been added up over the past few weeks (four in three games). The targets have been insanely high for Ja'Marr Chase, averaging 13 per game. I think Denzel Ward is likely to shadow Chase this week, and with those opportunities and how he's done against them in the past, I like the +500 chance of Ward registering an interception today.

The Browns are rolling with K Dustin Hopkins again this week, but the team may also take a different approach offensively with DTR starting. That means a little less aggressive with throwing it on third-and-long or going for it on fourth down, and more likely to try to get points on the board and win with a balanced gameplan. Hopkins can to 5.5 points with two field goals.
