However, Conte is particularly fond of players coming from the English top tier and sees the 31-year-old as an 'attractive' option according to The Athletic, as his side are seeking a defensive reinforcement.
After bringing in Scott McTominay from Manchester United and watching his impact on Serie A, the Italian tactician is said to be even more eager to sign another footballer from a Premier League club, with Maguire perfectly matching the profile of an experienced centre-back that the Partenopei are looking for.
Napoli have been also liked with Juventus' Danilo recently, who could be included in a swap with Giacomo Raspadori going in the opposite direction.
