The Daily Breeze's high school football rankings for Week 8.

The Sentinels continued to roll with their 42-0 win over Lawndale. Victor Santino rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns and the quarterback duo of Wyatt McCauley and Kingston Tisdell completed 12 of 14 passes with three touchdowns.

Jimmy Butler completed 23 of 26 passes for 286 yards and three touchdowns in Serra's 33-21 win over Chaminade. He connected with nine different receivers, led by Jadyn Robinson (seven catches, 81 yards, one touchdown.

The Mustangs rushed for 575 yards and eight touchdowns in a wild 56-34 win over Culver City. Liam Meeker rushed for 220 yards and three touchdowns and AJ McBean rushed for 332 yards and four touchdowns.

Journee Tonga rushed for 279 yards and a touchdown, but it wasn't enough as the Olympians lost to Palos Verdes. Leuzinger is 0-2 in the Bay League, with both losses by a combined 12 points.

Jaydan Andrade (fumble return) and Koa Moran (interception return) scored touchdowns for the Saxons in their 36-29 win over Redondo. Boogie Anetema threw a pair of touchdown passes to his brother Kingston.

The Gauchos picked up a second consecutive forfeit victory, this time from San Pedro. The Gauchos are on their bye week and currently searching for an opponent this week. Their last game played was Sept. 27.

The Sea Kings snapped a three-game losing streak with their 21-14 win over Leuzinger. Ryan Rakowski had a pair of passing touchdowns and Andrew Habif had a rushing touchdown.

Ethan Maleman rushed for 123 yards and Milo Youker had three rushing touchdowns in the 36-29 loss against North Torrance.

The Tartars bounced back with a 33-0 win over Peninsula. Gibson Turner completed 11 of 17 passes for 164 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

The Panthers opened Marine League play with a hard-fought 21-14 home win against Banning. Xavier Grant scored the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The Pilots fell to 0-2 in the Marine League with Friday's loss against Gardena. Their first loss was a forfeit to Narbonne.

The Colts had their real bye last week, after their opening Marine League win over San Pedro, Oct. 5

The Pirates forfeited their Marine League game last week against Narbonne. They will meet rival Banning in a meeting of 0-2 teams.

The Panthers lost to 33-0 to Torrance in a Pioneer League game last week.

The Comets were dealt their first loss of the season, falling 42-34 to Palisades in the Western League opener. Jayden Hightower completed 27 of 38 passes for 387 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in the loss.
