Cold Nights... Warmer Days Ahead... Friday Evening Forecast Update - WVUA 23

Good Friday evening! Our local weather will be cold tonight, with a widespread frost across the area. A freeze warning is in effect for all of our counties due to the potential for a light freeze. Temperatures will dip into the 29 to 34 degree range overnight.

Temperatures rise into the lower 60s on Saturday and upper 60s on Sunday. Some spots could reach the 70 degree mark on Sunday afternoon. We will remain dry through the weekend.

Clouds increase on Monday, with rain arriving by late evening and overnight. Rain amounts will remain light, with totals of 0.25'' for much of the state. Rain will be gone by early Tuesday morning as dry air takes over.

Another round of rain will arrive on Thursday for Thanksgiving. As we get closer, I'll nail down the forecast and what will happen. We will need to keep an eye on any potential for severe weather. Fortunately, that chance looks low for right now.

Join us live on WVUA23 weekdays at 5 P.M. & 10 P.M. and weekends at 10 P.M. for the very latest on your news, weather and sports.
