Retail Stock Of The MacBook Pro, Mac mini, And iPad mini Dwindles As Apple Prepares To Launch The M4 Refresh Sooner Rather Than Later

Apple is speculated to launch the new M4 chip-powered Macs on November 1, and we expect a wide range of options to be announced, including a redesigned Mac mini. Mark Gurman shared that the retail inventory of the iMac, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini models is dwindling, hinting at the potential launch of the upgraded models soon.

If you are unfamiliar with it, the analyst previously claimed that Apple will launch new models of the MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini on November 1, and it appears that the stock for the current models is running low. This clearly indicates that the company has stopped restocking older models as it is preparing to launch the newer variants with M4 chips.

Mark Gurman also claims that Apple is planning to upgrade the iPad mini lineup next month, and we expect the device's design to be the same as the current model. Regardless of the design, the iPad mini 7 will still be a worthy upgrade for all, as it will bring Apple Intelligence to the table. Apple will potentially power the forthcoming iPad mini with an A17 Pro or the A18 chip to bolster the new AI features. It could also gain 8GB of RAM, an essential Apple Intelligence requirement.

We expect the new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models to feature the same design as the current models, and the highlight of the upgrade will be the new variants of the M4 chip. We have already seen unboxing videos of the M4 MacBook Pro, which originated in Russia and was part of the biggest leak Apple has ever faced, even more so than the iPhone 4 in 2010. The 24-inch iMac will also be upgraded with the new M4 chip, but no major design variations are part of the mix.

Lastly, the redesigned Mac mini will now be more compact from all four sides, meaning that it will be more portable despite the new M4 versions of the chip. It was previously reported that the Mac mini redesign will come with the M4 and M4 Pro versions of the chip, which will deliver enhanced computational and graphical performance.

The analyst also states that he has not seen the investor go down for the budget iPad, which could hint that the company might see fit to launch the device later. Take the news with a grain of salt, as the final word rests with Apple, and we can see all of the above-mentioned devices launch sooner rather than later.
