Deputies investigating shots fired in Buncombe Co.

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - One person was injured Tuesday after shots were fired into a car in Asheville.

According to the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Rose Hill Road.

Deputies said they received a report that a person had fired shots into a car that was occupied. Though the person in the car was not hit, deputies said the person sustained injuries from windshield glass.

The sheriff's office added that the incident is isolated and that there is no threat to the community.

Officials said the suspect is believed to be driving a gray SUV.
