Sam's Club responds after shoppers despair over item disappearing from menu

SAM'S Club has responded to fans who have lashed out at the chain over its decision to discontinue a snack from its warehouse menus.

The wholesaler has explained why the decision was taken to pull churros.

For months, shoppers have noticed that churros are no longer an item sold in cafes.

"Why would y'all remove the churros from the menu Sam's Club, I am very upset," one diner said.

A Sam's Club spokesperson responded to the shopper on X and provided their reasoning.

"We understand that the menu can be impactful," they said.

The spokesperson revealed the decision was taken to streamline its menu and reduce waiting periods.

For months shoppers have expressed frustration with Sam's Club over its decision.

Others have claimed the chain, which has around 600 warehouses, has declined in quality because churros are no longer available.

Shoppers have simply called on the chain to bring back the popular snack.

The U.S. Sun has approached Sam's Club for comment.

Earlier this year, The U.S. Sun reported how bosses at the wholesaler had pulled a type of pomegranate fresh arils.

Sam's Club bosses have discontinued many beloved items in recent years.

Among items consigned to history include a berry-flavored Mountain Dew and its deluxe pizza, per The Daily Meal.

Redditors who purported to work at Sam's Club claimed it was a nightmare to make deluxe pizzas.

One claimed it was the most time-consuming item to make.

Despite discontinuing items, Sam's Club bosses are always looking for ways to enhance customers' store experiences.

The U.S. Sun reported how a new state-of-the-art store in Grapevine, Texas, has opened its doors.

The store is strikingly different from traditional warehouses as checkouts have been axed.

Shoppers are required to use the chain's scan-and-go checkout tool.

Execs also continue to roll out scanners at warehouse exits, which will eliminate the need for a receipt check.

This is because technology verifies shoppers' purchases when they walk through the arch-shaped scanner.

Some shoppers have welcomed the checkout feature, while others claimed the change is pointless.
