Trump wins Georgia and North Carolina, moving closer to reclaiming the White House
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Donald Trump has won the battleground state of Georgia, the onetime Republican stronghold that had voted for Democrats four years ago. Along with his win in North Carolina, Trump has narrowed Kamala Harris' pathways to victory. He has 248 of the 270 electoral votes needed to win the White House. The Republican former president is leading in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. The AP is awaiting late vote updates from Michigan's Wayne County and Wisconsin's Milwaukee County, two Democratic strongholds that present Harris' only path to win either state. In Pennsylvania, her path is even more narrow. The races are too early to call.
