CHIMACUM -- One person evacuated safely along with two pets from a fire at a single-story home in Chimacum, East Jefferson Fire Rescue reported.

Firefighters responded to the fire in the 4700 block of West Valley Road about 8:30 a.m. Thursday, the fire district said in a press release.
